We’re here to help you plan the perfect #Christmas with some festive cocktail inspiration? 🍸 For a second year running, we’ve enlisted the help of Dan and Alan from the City of Aberdeen Distillery & Gin School - who share two of their favourite show-stopper cocktails. Cheers!
Cocktail One - Rubus Idaeus
"Squish, mix, shake and pour. Easy to make, hard to forget."
What you'll need
1½ shot (37.5ml) of Fresh Gin (available at the distillery shop)
½ shot (12.5ml) of Triple Sec
1 shot (25ml) fresh lime
½ shot (12.5ml) shot of Gomme
Small punnet of raspberries
Ice
Cocktail shaker
Julep strainer (or tea strainer)
Muddler
Coupette glass
Step by step
Crush raspberries with gomme
Mix and shake with all ingredients with ice
Double strain into a chilled coupette glass
Garnish wish a curl of lime and a raspberry
Enjoy!
Cocktail Two - Daisy Chain
"A popular drink during Prohibition in the United States (1920's). Based on a Margarita, which in Spanish means "Daisy"."
What you'll need
1½ shot (37.5ml) of Fresh Gin (available at the distillery shop)
½ shot (12.5ml) of Falernum
1 shot (25ml) fresh lemon
½ shot (12.5ml) Elderflower Gomme
Bitter lemon
Lemon sugar
Ice
Cocktail shaker
Julep strainer (or tea strainer)
Coupette glass
Step by step
Prepare a chilled Coupette glass
Create a rim of lemon sugar around the rim of the glass
Combine the ingredients (except the bitter lemon)
Double strain into the glass
Top with bitter lemon
Garnish with a dehydrated lemon
