We’ve enlisted the help of Dan and Alan from the City of Aberdeen Distillery & Gin School - the first distillery in Aberdeen for nearly 80 years - who share two of their favourite show-stopper cocktails perfect for the festives.
Cocktail One - Rubus Idaeus
"Squish, mix, shake and pour. Easy to make, hard to forget."
What you'll need
1½ shot (37.5ml) of Fresh Gin (available at the distillery shop)
½ shot (12.5ml) of Triple Sec
1 shot (25ml) fresh lime
½ shot (12.5ml) shot of Gomme
Small punnet of raspberries
Ice
Cocktail shaker
Julep strainer (or tea strainer)
Muddler
Coupette glass
Step by step
Crush raspberries with gomme
Mix and shake with all ingredients with ice
Double strain into a chilled coupette glass
Garnish wish a curl of lime and a raspberry
Enjoy!
