Willowburn, Tarves Public Consultation

Proposed residential development of 113 homes together with associated infrastructure and landscaping at the site allocated as OP1 in the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan 2017. This is located on the western edge of the village between Duthie Road and Bool Road.

The plans will create a high quality residential development based upon best practice urban design principles. This will include a contemporary re-interpretation of historical architecture, which is designed to complement the local area and contribute positively to the creation of a sense of place.

The masterplan which has been created responds to the urban qualities of the traditional village of Tarves. It is designed to integrate welcoming streets that support quality of life and to create attractive public open spaces with views out to the countryside. The proposed landscape will embed the new homes within a setting that complements the character of the village, providing an attractive range of opportunities for outdoor activities, and contributes to the creation of biodiversity.
