For our final seasonal sharing blog, we’ve enlisted the help of cocktail connoisseurs Tayport Distillery to show us how to impress your guests this Christmas with a refreshing festive tipple.

Whether you’re looking to try your hand at a classy perfect serve or test your skills with a show-stopper, below we have two exclusive cocktail recipes recommended by Tayport for their 1992 blackcurrant Eau de Vie liqueur.

Kir Royale

Tayport Distillery’s 1992 is a blackcurrant Eau de Vie cassis flavoured with Scottish fruit - intensely rich and refined, it’s a perfect complement to anything light and bubbly - so ideal for a classic Kir Royale.

To make this simple and delicious welcome drink, add a 25ml measure of 1992 to a chilled Champagne flute and top with prosecco. It’s a classic twist on a Christmas favourite, and easy to prepare for lots of guests at once.

Bramble

  • 60ml Dry Gin
  • 30ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 15ml Sugar Syrup
  • Drizzle 1992 blackcurrant Eau de Vie liqueur (Cassis)

Shake the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a glass over ice and drizzle with 1992 blackcurrant Eau de Vie liqueur - serve with a slice of lemon. A perfect cocktail to lift the spirits and refresh the palate - make it with your favourite gin to make sure it’s got your signature seal of approval too.
